The first round of talks between the Afghan Government and Tehreek-i-Taliban Afghanistan, brokered by Pakistan, has been concluded in Murree, with both parties agreeing to meet again.
According to the Dawn, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said that Pakistan is hosting a meeting today between the representatives of the Afghan Government and the Tehreek-i-Taliban Afghanistan as part of the commitment to facilitate an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process.
Qazi said earlier that Chinese and American representatives are attending as observers.
Both sides presented their views during the meeting about the prevailing situation in Afghanistan.
