At least four people were killed and ten others injured in a subway collapse accident in South Korea's Namyangju city.
An official of the firefighting department told media that the subway construction site in Namyangju, located east of Seoul, collapsed at about 7.27 a.m. local time.
The Xinhua news agency reports that a total of 17 people were working near the site at that time of the collapse.
The accident is considered to have been caused by an explosion of oxygen cylinders during welding operations. But, the exact cause is unknown and is under investigation.
Meanwhile, scores of rescuers and rescue equipments have been dispatched to the scene and the rescue operations are underway.
