Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed on Monday by security forces in Asghmuqam area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The gun battle started when militants opened fire on security force personnel who had cordoned off Siligam village to carry out a search operation.
The deceased were identified as Adil, Amir and Arif - all residents of Bijbehara.
