two terrorists launched a fresh strike near Karachi's Jinnah International Airport on Tuesday, said Airport Security Force (ASF) spokesman Colonel Tahir Ali.
Addressing media here, Colonel Ali said that a search operation was underway in the Bhittaiabad area for the terrorists.
"Two terrorists had tried to attack, but escaped. Normal flight operations have been," Jaag TV quoted Colonel Ali, as saying.
"Terrorists did fire at the ladies' hostel near the ASF Academy. No one was injured in the fresh attempt of attack near the ASF Academy," Colonel Tahir Ali said, adding that the situation was 100 per cent under control.
He said that the police and rangers were helping in the search and sanitation drive.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
