Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has admitted that his team needs to more ruthless if they want to win the Premier League title.
Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho had rued that his team is not capable of finishing teams off right now after seeing his men surrender a 1-0 lead at West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night and end up dropping two crucial points.
According to the Daily Star, agreeing with Mourinho, Cahill said that any side with genuine title credentials has to be more ruthless, adding that had they scored a second goal in the game, they could have maintained their control and won the match.
Cahill accepts that a single goal lead is always a nightmare because it can leave one open to a sucker punch, which was delivered by West Brom's Victor Anichebe's equaliser coming just four minutes from time.
Cahill will undergo intense treatment in a bid to get fit in time for the weekend's crunch FA Cup clash with title rivals Manchester City, the report added.
