Former Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is all set to play for his side once again as he has agreed to play for the club's 'Legends' side in Australia next year.
Expressing his excitement on his return to Anfield, Gerrard said it would be great to play with the official Liverpool Legends.
According to Sport24, the veteran midfielder has spoken to current manager Jurgen Klopp about training at Melwood.
The 35-year-old, who had captained Liverpool for 12 years before his departure, admitted that it would be an emotional moment to play in front of his fans again, adding that he is looking forward to get on the pitch.
Gerrard, who is currently on a post-season break from his team Los Angeles Galaxy, will represent Liverpool in a match against a team of Australian counterparts on January 7.
