Giriraj slams Lalu, Nitish for challenging PM for debate

Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh on Sunday lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Yadav for challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a debate on the issue of reservation.

"I would ask the bade bhai and chhote bhai, Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar, to have a debate with a party worker like Giriraj Singh first and then they should go to the Prime Minister for a debate," Singh told ANI.

The BJP leader also expressed his ire over Nitish's tweet asking Prime Minister Modi to educate his leaders on basic aspects of the digital world.

Citing the rating of the World Bank, Singh said that Nitish should tell the country as to why Bihar was not there in the list of the 20 states.

"He should tell why in 25 years there were only eight B.P.S.C examinations in the state. If he is favouring the backwards then he should tell why the vacant positions are not being filled up in the state," he added.

Nitish had earlier in a series of tweets criticised Prime Minister Modi for attempting to add communal colour to the Bihar polls.

"I am ready to debate the issue of reservation with you any day. Stop misleading the people and your efforts to add communal colour to Bihar polls," he added.

The Bihar Chief Minister also took potshots at the BJP leaders for their disparaging remarks against him.

"Frustrated ahead of facing a defeat in Bihar, the leaders and ministers of the government who talk of Digital India are calling Google Ads as an Ad of Pakistani newspaper Dawn," he said.

"Modi ji at least let your leaders be aware of the basic aspects of the digital world. SundarPichai (Google CEO) can help you in this," he added.
