Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday criticized the Shiv Sena and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for not taking strict action against those involved in moral policing in Kochi this week.

"Because of the Shiv Sena activists' unruly act, we had boycotted the session for the day. In the assembly, we raised our voices, against the Shiv Sena for taking the law into their own hands on Marine Drive yesterday," Chennithala told ANI.

This shameful act, the Congress asserted indicated the state government's failure to stop moral policing.
