Jammu and Kashmir's Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Friday said the Mufti Mohammed Sayeed-led government would not allow any element to create a law and order problem and indulge in anti-India activities in the state.
Singh said the PDP-BJP coalition government has the mandate from the people of Jammu and Kashmir for promoting peace, development and economic growth.
"We will not allow any element to create a law and order problem here and indulge in anti-India activities in JandK," he added.
Commenting on the clash between the police personnel and protestors in Tral, Singh dubbed it as a 'minor' incident and asserted that the situation was under control.
"These are minor incidents, which have been happening since 1947. The police is taking care and ultimately everything shall be brought into control," he said.
Fourteen people, including cops, were reportedly injured in the clash with separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's supporters earlier this morning.
The clash took place when Farooq's supporters were staging a protest against the encounter of a young man named Khalid Wani, who was shot in an Army operation earlier this week.
