Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Prakash Karat on Wednesday demanded that all details of the proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill should be scrutinised and no attempt must be made by the ruling dispensation to get it passed in parliament in a hurry.
"The GST Bill should not be passed without looking into all details and every aspect. It should not be passed in a hurry," said Karat.
On Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley criticised the opposition for blocking the economic progress of the country.
He maintained that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi could not accept that anyone outside their family could rule India.
