Helen Flanagan was held hostage by armed raiders at her 2.8million dollars home after divulging on Twitter that she was home alone as her boyfriend was away on holiday.

The former 'Coronation Street' star was traumatised by the late-night ordeal hours after she tweeted that she was missing her beau, Scott Sinclair, the Sun reported.

She reportedly told a friend that she could have been killed.

Three masked burglars armed with a saw and a screwdriver entered the pad, which she shares with the Manchester City ace.

The trio confronted Flanagan and a female friend, and made violent threats to them before fleeing with a mobile phone and jewellery- worth thousands of pounds.

A source told the publication that her tweet was a green light to the criminals because they probably knew the alarm system would be off because she was at home.
