Seviyan, fruit or chickpea chaat and mithaai dominate platters on any table on the occasion of Eid. Ever considered adding some new items to your menu for the great feast?

According to the Express Tribune, one can beat the heat by serving guests glasses of saffron-imbued cold drink, Shahi Zafran ka sherbet, with dollops of fresh cream and fresh pistachio dust on top.

The traditional seviyan can also be followed up with a gorgeous date cake and cardamom-fragranced tea.

For guests arriving for lunch or dinner, prepare some Kebab-e-dayg, which are tender kebabs prepared on a slow flame, in a spicy tomato base, and serve them along with some basmati rice and salad.
