Hero Motor Corp, the largest two wheeler manufacturer in India, launched the Maestro Edge and VX version here today.

Priced between the range of Rs 49,500 and RS 50,700 respectively (All prices Ex Showroom Delhi), the scooter will be available to customers from 13th October that marks the auspicious Navaratri period.

The all new range is a 110cc scooter that is built as a premium scooter, which will be targeted at youthful college goers. The Duet on the other hand is a unisex scooter.

Both the scooters have been built on a Hero engine and chassis platform that powers 110cc air-cooled engine for 8.31 bhp of power at 8000rpm, and 8.30 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

In an interview, Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. Said, "With this Hero has entered into the next phase in its exciting journey. The introduction of the Maestro Edge and Duet, developed in-house with our own technology while keeping the global consumer in mind, is a significant milestone."

The flagship company is leaving no stone unturned to bridge the gap for the Honda scooter segment. Having a niche for the bikes segment, Honda lags behind in sale of scooter. Hero also announced that it will inaugurate its new facility in Jaipur on January 14, 2016.
