Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has finally broken his silence to clarify that he is not running away from Pakistan but wants his name removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) only because he wants to see his ailing mother.
Speaking to a gathering of his followers in Islamabad on phone, he said that the legal cases against him are politically motivated and baseless but added that he will defend himself in all the cases that are pending against him, reported the Dawn.
Meanwhile, Zafarul Haq, leader of the House in Senate Raja, said on Sunday that there is immense pressure on government to remove former President's name from the ECL and allow him to go abroad.
