Vikramaditya Motwane, director of the much acclaimed films 'Udaan' and 'Lootera' told ANI on the sidelines of a film festival in New Delhi that independent movies need to have a good story line.
Commenting about the current scenario of independent movies, he said, "There is a blurred line between independent cinema and Bollywood and it is the best time for the movie makers to come up with good cinema as the public has become very demanding."
The 37-year-old filmmaker also asserted that film festivals are the first step to help reach independent movies to the masses.
Motwane has also produced the forthcoming flick 'Ugly', which has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and is slated to release onSeptember 19.
