India and Pakistan have exchanged a list of their respective nuclear installations and prisoners from across the border lodged in their respective jails despite tensions, as a part of Article-II of the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between Pakistan and India as of 31 December 1988.
According to the Express Tribune, the lists are exchange on the first day of every new year.
The India also handed over its list to the Pakistan High Commission by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi at 1100 (IST).
Meanwhile, according to the Agreement on Consular Access signed between Pakistan and India on 21 May 2008, the countries need to exchange lists of prisoners in each other's custody twice a year on 1st January and 1st July.
