India, Pakistan holding NSA talks under international pressure, says Devendra Rana

National Conference (NC) leader Devendra Rana on Thursday alleged that the forthcoming NSA talks between India and Pakistan was taking place due to international pressure.

"Somehow the feeling that we are getting is that both India and Pakistan are not serious about the talks. They are under international pressure, but want to wriggle out of it," said Rana.

"Look at the terror attacks and cross border firing, and now the arrest (of a terrorist Naved) signifies there disinterest in the talks. An environment is needed to be created for talks, but an environment is created which is actually an anti-thesis of talks," Rana told ANI

"Both countries don't have any intentions of talks and they are disrupting all attempts to construct a good environment for constructive talks," he added.

Pakistan has invited separatist Hurriyat leaders to meet with Sartaj Aziz, Prime MInister Nawaz Sharif's Adviser on Foreign Affairs and National Security in Delhi.

It may be recalled that last year, the Indian Government cancelled foreign secretary-level talks for the same reason.
