The second Test between India and South Africa has been washed out because of persistent rain and wet outfield on the fifth and final day, here at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
After a dominating performance by India on Day One, the match was washed out for four consecutive days. This match has ended in a damp squib, with India leading the four match series 1-0.
Earlier, replying to South Africa's first innings score of 214, the hosts scored a commanding 80-0 at stumps on day one, with Murali Vijay (unbeaten 28) and Shikhar Dhawan (unbeaten 45).
India won the First Test by 108 runs at Mohali.
The two sides will now play their third Test at Nagpur from November 25.
