Indian wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Bajrang arrived in New Delhi on Saturday after bagging the Gold and Silver medal respectively at the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon in South Korea.

Dutt outshone Tajikistan's Zalimkhan Yusupov in the men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling match by 1-0, whereas Bajrang had to settle with a silver medal after losing the men's freestyle 61kg final match with 1-3 score to Iran's Masoud Esmaeilpoorjouybari. His compatriot Narsingh Pancham Yadav settled for a bronze in 74kg freestyle.

Speaking to mediapersons, Dutt expressed his happiness over the win.

"I am elated and feeling proud as I have won gold for the country after 28 years," he said.

Meanwhile, former wrestler and team's coach, Satpal Singh, lauded the sportspersons for bringing accolades to the country.

"It seems that now there is sports culture in India, especially for wrestling. In Rio Olympics, we are targeting at least four to five medals, including two gold. So now it is sure that we will be very successful in the games," said Singh.

In the 17th Asian Games, India bagged total 57 medals - 11 gold, 10 silver and 36 bronze.

Jitu Rai was the first to win gold medal for India at the Asiad in the men's 50 metre pistol event after his closest opponent cracked under pressure.

M.C. Mary Kom also gave India's battered boxing team something to celebrate when she won the women's flyweight gold medal at the Games.

Kom came from behind to beat Kazakhstan's Zhaina Shekerbekova on a split decision in the 51-kilogram division.
