PM Narendra Modi has replied to his Pakistani Counterpart Nawaz Sharif by writing that he was hopeful that Indo-Pak relations would be further improved.
He also wrote that the Indian government was keen to work with Sharif and that he was honoured when Sharif attended his oath taking ceremony, Pakistan media reported.
Modi also condemned the recent Karachi airport attack and expressed regret over the loss of lives.
The letter was in reply to Sharif's letter to Modi where he had expressed satisfaction over his recent meeting, and said that he was looking forward to working with him to resolve all unsettled matters.
