Iran's Foreign Minister says country will not close nuclear program under duress

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has reportedly said that Iran's nuclear program will remain intact.

Speaking to reporters, Zarif commented that the country will not close any program.

According to the Washington Times, Iran had agreed to a temporary freeze on enriching uranium in November, that according to US President Barack Obama was to simply put, [the deal cuts] off Iran's most likely paths to a bomb.

Zarif said that he hoped to reach a final deal by the first deadline and to start implementing it, and also assured that Iran had the political will and good faith that is required in order to achieve that.

Iran's foreign minister also made remarks on the attempts being made by United States, Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia to resolve the nuclear dispute, saying that there were problems in terms of both substance and approach by the world powers.
