In what may give the opposition parties fresh ammunition to target the Samajwadi Party, former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan was caught on camera scolding a Sub-Divisional Magistrate over the bad condition of roads in Mandi village of Muzaffarnagar district.
"You were lying in garbage. Is this why I transferred and brought you here? What kind of road is this? Is this the kind of road we will travel on?" Khan is seen threatening the official in the video.
"Had I slipped, we would have become a joke on national television," he added.
Khan was reportedly upset as he had to walk to the election office through a muddy track.
