Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Friday for a discussion over the current security situation in the Valley.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the continuous unrest in parts of the Kashmir valley was brought up for discussion.
Vohra's meeting with the Prime Minister comes after his meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the similar issue.
Amid the current turbulent situation in the Valley, a recent spurt of violence and robberies are being witnessed in the past few weeks.
Yesterday, two Army personnel and a civilian were left injured after terrorists attacked an Army patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
The security forces cordoned off more than 20 villages in Shopian in the wake of recent terror attacks in the Valley.
The Indian armed forces, comprising nearly 3,000 security personnel, are undertaking a major operation in the valley to sniff out terrorists.
Earlier on Tuesday, suspected terrorists barged inside a police post guarding the court complex of southern Shopian.
The terrorists decamped along with five service rifles including four INSAS rifles and an AK-47 rifle.
