Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Krishna Lal on Tuesday emerged victorious from the Chhamb constituency in Jammu and Kashmir.
"This is a huge victory for me and BJP. We have defeated the former deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir," said Lal.
According to latest election trends in the state, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is leading in 29 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ahead in 25 seats, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) is leading in 16 seats while the Congress is ahead in just 11 seats.
