All government and private schools, located within 5 km range of the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri will remain closed till January 28.
This decision has been taken by the concerned authorities due to prevailing tension along the LoC.
At least 84 government schools have been reportedly notified for this closure.
On January 20, schools along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakote sector in Rajouri district were announced to remain closed for three days.
As per reports, a total of 10 persons, including two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and two Army jawans, were killed and over 40 others injured in the heavy firing and shelling by Pakistan along the International Border and Line of Control in the Valley since January 17.
