Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake has reportedly made no secret of the fact that cricket is his first love and seemingly has genuine aspirations in the game after his running career is over.
The world's second fastest man, who reportedly aspires for county club side Yorkshire Vikings, said that he would like to see how quick he is with the ball because he runs in so fast and has got strong shoulders.
According to the London, if Blake had had his way he would have been playing as a pacer for the Yorkshire Vikings against Northants Steelbacks in the Twenty20 Blast.
Blake, who grew up with the ambition of making it as a cricketer and only switched to athletics after a schoolteacher noticed the extraordinary speed of his run-up, would be racing over 150-metres on a temporary track in Manchester at the BT Great City Games on Saturday, the report added.
