The submarine car from 1977's James Bond film 'The Spy Who Loved Me' is up for sale at eBay for 1 million dollars.
According to the Verge, a vintage car restoration and resale shop in Las Vegas named Hot Rod City is selling a prop glorious and modified Lotus Espirit S1 sports car, that was shown driving directly from land into water in the film.
However, the transformation of the car was only on-screen, and as per eBay listing, the vehicle on sale, which is very much the one that was used for a retracting wheel scene in the film, and was even rehabbed on the History channel TV show American Restoration, doesn't actually drive or submerge and wasn't legal to drive on street.
So far, Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Motors, is the only one who owns such a car, as he had purchased it last year and said that he planned to modify it so that it could transform for real.
