A source told JustJared.com that the pair, who is in Cannes to promote the second installment of the 'Hunger Games' series, was sitting on a sofa in the VIP section of the party when an 8-foot column holding a plate of lit candles toppled over and fell on the young artists, Contactmusic reported.
The insider asserted that Lawrence and Hemsworth both jumped up in time and no one was hurt.
The source added that both the stars looked pretty calm about the whole scenario and laughed it off.
