Johnson warns England to expect further 'aggressive assault' in fourth ODI

Australia pace bowler Mitchell Johnson is reportedly seeking to further intimidate England with another ferocious assault in Saturday's fourth one-day international in Cardiff.

Although Johnson was not selected for the recent Ashes series which England won 3-0, he is forging ahead to secure a spot in the squad for the return Ashes series, with his pace and aggression bouncing out Jonathan Trott at Old Trafford and Kevin Pietersen at Edgbaston in the five-game ODIs, which Australia leads 1-0.

Stating that he has confidence and belief in his bowling, Johnson said that he believes that he can get out and intimidate whichever player he is up against, and warned England that he will continue to carry forward his aggressiveness in the remaining games of the series.

According to Johnson, as the short ball is a part of his armoury, he believes that he can intimidate England batsmen and get them out with the ball, adding that he bowls an 'armpit' ball at the throat of the batsman whenever he is at his most aggressive and then tries to use the ball swinging for LBWs, 'bowled outs' or catches behind.

Johnson further said that he might have already made a psychological attack against the opposition, as well as physical ones, after Trott was hit on the helmet in Birmingham, adding that he hopes that England continues to be wary of him.
