Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may not attend the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) national executive will meet in New Delhi on Wednesday, which is likely to decide the fate of senior leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav.
Earlier on Tuesday, Yadav had said he was hopeful that everything would be sorted out in the national executive meeting.
Kejriwal had also earlier stated that he was deeply hurt and pained by what was going on in AAP, and added it was a betrayal of the trust that the people of Delhi had reposed in the party.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh had earlier said that attempts were being made to remove Kejriwal as the party's national convener. Kejriwal is also set to leave for a naturopathy center on March 5 to receive treatment for his worsening health.
His deputy Manish Sisodia will be the acting Delhi Chief Minister in his absence.
The rift within the AAP came out in the open with Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan voicing dissent against the manner in which the party is being run by Kejriwal. The two leaders also reportedly offered to opt out of the Political Affairs Committee of the party.
