Kerry Washington has said that she feels like the "luckiest broad in showbiz" after tying the knot with San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha last month in Idaho, Washington, and winning her first Emmy nomination on Thursday for 'Scandal'.
The 36-year-old actress told People that she just feels really blessed, humbled and grateful for the nomination.
The actress could not celebrate, as she was at an airport in Northern California when she got the news.
She says she was with her dog and she was in a 'crazy airport mode', trying to get water for the plane. But she said she's looking forward to celebrate with the 'Scandal' family.
The actress remained coy when asked about being a new bride.
She said that though she doesn't talk about personal life to the press, she is very happy and feels blessed in all areas.
The actress, who plays crisis manager Olivia Pope in ABC's political thriller, is yet to decide on who accompanies her to the ceremony on September 22.
