Khan calls for 'positive approach, killer instinct, merit-based selection' for Pak to curb Proteas

Former Pakistani Test opener Mohsin Khan has called for a 'positive approach, killer instinct and merit-based team selection' for Pakistan to curb world's reigning Test team South Africa side in the upcoming series in the UAE.

The former national team coach coached Pakistan to a famous 3-0 Test series whitewash over the then number one Test team England last year.

According to the Express Tribune, ahead of the team's two-match Test series starting on October 14, Khan advised the team management and players to bring a positive attitude, killer instinct to combat South Africa, adding that selection based on merit is also a must.

However, Khan believes that Pakistan can bounce back from their setbacks in Zimbabwe and beat South Africa, adding that the team is more or less in the same position it was in when it faced England last year, although they achieved success that time as they had the right attitude and a positive mindset.
