Australian coach Darren Lehmann has said that he will make the batting order more stable and stop the 'chopping and changing' as the current Australian is his 'baby' now.
Lehmann, who was offered the coaching job after the controversial sacking of former coach Mickey Arthur just days before the summer Ashes series, has skipped this month's limited-overs tour of India and is set to plan for the return Ashes series with nearly seven weeks in hand.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Lehmann has vowed to bring stability to a team, which has lost continually in their last nine Test matches despite having a whole side, adding that he will make it very clear where each player is batting and will stick with that order for a while, once the team for the return Ashes is announced.
Stating that he has learnt about the job, the players and himself after spending quite some time on the road with the team, Lehmann also said that the batting order would be settled in the one-dayers in India, and the settled factor will continue into the upcoming Test matches.
Australia has used three openers- Chris Rogers, Shane Watson and David Warner, three batsmen at No.3- Watson, Ed Cowan, Usman Khawaja, three at No.4- Watson, Michael Clarke, Phillip Hughes, and four at No.6- Watson, Warner, Hughes, Steve Smith, against England in the recent tour, the report added.
