Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has insisted that Red Bull star Sebastian Vettel deserved to be at the receiving end of crowd's booing as he has a 'cocky attitude'.
Reigning world champion Vettel, who has been intensely booed by Formula One fans recently as many believe his dominance of F1 has made the sport boring, had accused Rosberg of being lazy after being pipped to pole position in Singapore.
According to Metro.co.uk, the German driver said that his rival and compatriot brought the boos and insults on himself, adding that with comments like he made on Rosberg, Vettel is running the risk of losing the respect of his fellow drivers.
Stating that Vettel is not aware about the amount of hard work which he (Rosberg) and his team puts everyday, Rosberg also said that Vettel's attitude aloof and was almost his undoing while qualifying in Singapore.
