BJP's new Uttar Pradesh chief Keshav Maurya has been depicted as Lord Krishna in posters put up by his party workers in Varanasi, while opposition leaders have been portrayed as Kauravas.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan have been portrayed as Kauravas stripping Draupadi in the poster. The face of the woman portrayed as Draupadi has, however, been blurred.

The satire on the opposition leaders comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for next year's crucial assembly polls.
