Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas on Monday moved the Delhi High Court against a lower court order directing the police to file an FIR against him over an alleged molestation charges by an AAP volunteer.
A Metropolitan Magistrate's court on Wednesday had ordered the police to register a first information report against him on the woman's complaint.
Earlier, Delhi police had in its status report filed before the court, said that nothing was found to substantiate the allegations levelled by the AAP volunteer against Vishwas to register any criminal case against him.
According to reports, the complaint had stated that Vishwas had made sexually coloured remarks and made advances towards her. She also alleged that the accused had molested her in different cities during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections campaign, and then a few months later.
