The Global Tamil Forum (GTF), a London based Tamil Diaspora organization, has expressed deep concern over comments made by Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena regarding 'International Involvement on Accountability Mechanism'.

The GTF said President Sirisena's assertions are a direct refutation of the resolution passed in the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in October 2015 which Sri Lanka itself co-sponsored, reports the website Lanka Page.

The diaspora organization added that President Sirisena will lose the trust of the Tamil community which started to believe that Sri Lanka kept and faithfully acted upon the public promises.
