Lankan President Sirisena condoles passing away of Dr. Kalam

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has condoled the death of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam after he visited the Indian High Commission in Colombo yesterday.

According to Colombo Page, Sirisena described Dr. Kalam as an "an outstanding visionary, a great teacher and an unparalleled human being."

He said that he was extremely saddened by the demise of the former president.

Sirisena offered his deepest condolences to Dr. Kalam's brother, other close relations as well as to the government and the people of India.
