South Korean multinational electronics company LG Electronics' LG Display, one of world's largest LCD panel maker, has announced its plans to invest 450 billion Won (USD 395.99 million) in South Korea to build production capacity for flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays.
The company would invest 310 billion Won to boost flexible OLED capacity and 140 billion won to build a dedicated OLED lighting production line, Reuters reported.
LG Display is one of the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels, OLEDs and flexible displays. Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea LG Display currently operates nine fabrication facilities and seven back-end assembly facilities in Korea, China, Poland and Mexico.
