Premier League runners up Liverpool are said to be on the tail of Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez with a 18 million-pound deal for the winger.
Liverpool, who like Arsenal have been informed that Sanchez wants to quit Barca because he wants more starts, are said to be chasing the Chilean as they build up their squad for a return to the Champions League.
However, a deal will not be done until Sanchez has played for Chile at the World Cup in Brazil that kicks-off next month and would be running for a month, the Daily Star reported.
The arrival of Sanchez, who cost Barca 25 million-pounds when he moved from Udinese, at Liverpool might result in Italian international Fabio Borini's departure from the club, the report added.
