Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan on Wednesday backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark over the Dadri lynching incident and cancellation of Pakistani Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali's concert in Mumbai, and said the law and order is the matter of the State.

"Our Prime Minister has given a statement at the right time," he said.

Speaking to ANI, Paswan said, "Dadri lynching incident is extremely unfortunate but it is the responsibility of the State to look at the matter."

He further said that he is happy on the Prime Minister Modi's reaction on Ghulam Ali as he is a very senior musician.

In an interview to the Ananda Bazar Patrika, Prime Minister Modi voiced his opinion clearly for the first time over the Dadri lynching and the Ghulam Ali row, saying that indeed they were 'unfortunate' incidents, but the Centre could not be blamed as these issues were related to law and order and the concern of the state.
