The Lok Sabha on Wednesday was adjourned sine die.

As per schedule, the session of the House was to continue till Friday.

The lower house was brought to a sudden end, two days before the scheduled culmination of the session during which the budgetary exercise was the highlight.

Ten bills, including the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and the Anti-Hijacking Bill, were passed during the three-week session which saw no adjournment due to disruptions.

The Eighth Session of the 16th Lok Sabha, which commenced on April 25, had 13 sittings spread over 92 hours and 21 minutes.

The session, which was initially the second part of the Budget session, was a new one as the House was prorogued after the first phase that ended on March 10.

This session was to conclude on May 13 but was brought to the sudden end today.
