The sessions court in Panaji on Monday rejected former Goa PWD Minister Churchill Alemao's bail plea in connection with the Louis Berger case.
The court has also rejected the bail plea of former Goa director of Japan International Cooperation Agency, Anand Wachasunder.
Meanwhile, former Louis Berger vice-Ppesident Satyakam Mohanty has been granted bail on a bond of Rs. one lakh.
Alemao was sent to judicial custody for seven days last week.
Louis Berger, a US-based consultancy firm, has admitted it paid bribes to Indian ministers to win contracts for water and sewerage projects (one each in Goa and Assam) to be implemented with Japanese assistance.
