Madhya Pradesh Govt. to provide rice for poor at Re 1 per kg from Jan. 1

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said that his BJP Government would provide rice to the poor at one rupee per kilogram from January 1, 2014.

Chouhan made this populist committment soon after assuming charge as chief minister for the third consecutive time.

After oath-taking ceremony, Chouhan presented his development agenda for the state, which also includes the setting up of a commission to address the problems of the middle class.
