Manchester City has reached their first Capital One Cup final in 38 years by beating West Ham United 3-0 on Tuesday away at Upton Park.
Holding a seemingly impregnable 6-0 first-leg lead, Manuel Pellegrini's side eased into the finals with a record 9-0 aggregate victory against their semi-final opponents and the Chilean is targeting the unprecedented 'quadruple' of winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League in his first season at the Etihad.
According to the BBC, City striker Alvaro Negredo gave his side an early defence with his strike after three minutes into the game, followed by Sergio Aguero's shot 21 minutes later, after which Negredo scored his second goal in the game in the 59th minute.
City will face either Manchester United or Sunderland at Wembley on March, while cross-city rivals Manchester United host Sunderland in their semi-final second leg on Wednesday as they try to overturn a 2-1 home win in the reverse fixture, the report added.
