Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has urged not to expect too much from their debutant Anthony Martial, saying that he is too young to be consistent.
Earlier, Anthony Martial's memorable debut goal helped his side clinch a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
Van Gaal said that Martial needs time to adapt to a new culture of the Premier League, the Guardian reported.
The Dutchman praised him for his fantastic goal, adding that it is a right moment to let him play.
Expressing his views on skipper Wayne Rooney, who missed the match due to hamstring injury, Van Gaal said that he was not ready to take risk with the captain.
He also added that Rooney would likely to return in their next Premier League match against Southampton.
