Manish Arora is one of the most celebrated and inspiring contemporary designers in the fashion world today. The Mumbai-born fashion designer has lived between Paris and Delhi since 2007, where he owns an exclusive store, and is the only Indian fashion designer to participate in the prestigious Paris Fashion Week for the last 10 years.
Known for his astute craftsmanship and unique play on colors, Manish has collaborated with eminent brands such as Swarovski, Swatch, Reebok, Monoprix, Nespresso, MAC Cosmetics, Pommery, Amrapali amongst others. His rich and colorful designs have been worn by international stars such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, M.I.A and Katy Perry. He has also been bestowed upon the highest French civilian honour 'Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur'.
"I am honored to be associated with Pearl Academy as an Ideation Partner and to have the student's intern and travel to Paris with me. The experience will expand their knowledge and horizons on design and business aspects of our industry. I hope that together we will be able to give the students and all stakeholders a more in-depth experience on building a brand internationally," said Manish.
This collaboration aims to provide the required learning and international exposure to Pearl Academy students enabling them to create a mark across the world. Students from Fashion Design and Luxury Brands course will get to intern and accompany Manish Arora to the Paris Fashion Week, twice a year. Pearl Academy students will also get an opportunity to design a collection under Manish Arora's ideation guidance, and these would then be retailed at Pearl Academy exclusive pop-up store.
"It is a coming together of one of India's foremost fashion designers and a leading fashion institute in the country. I couldn't have thought of a better alliance. It will be a lifelong learning experience for our students and will make them future ready as well as industry ready. Manish will be an invaluable asset to our students who will have the opportunity to learn from a highly original and creative designer," said Pearl Academy CEO Nandita Abraham.
