Mariah Carey has cleared that her new single 'Infinity' wasn't to rip Nick Cannon, but is about "loving yourself first."
The 46-year-old singer said that though she understands the confusion and conclusion taken our due to the lyrics, the song meant "love equals you first," telling a person to look out for themselves first and then the rest of the things, People magazine reported.
She just had fun with the lyrics, which she does with a lot of songs, added the mum of two.
Carey, whose greatest hits album is due next month, also clarified her rumored relationship with Brett Ratner, saying that they were just really good friends.
