Former Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis' 'secret' US wedding to his Romanian-Australian model girlfriend has given rise to confusion following reports of his marriage also emerging in early August.
According to Telegraph.com.au, Philippoussis and his girlfriend Silvana Lovin, who were dating for 18 months, had tied the knot in a private ceremony at the weekend, with Lovin confirming the marriage by posting a shot on the social media of her wearing her delicate wedding gown.
However, earlier reports in August had claimed that the Greek-Italian player had married Lovin in a private ceremony in August attended by a small group of family and friends.
The report further said that Philippoussis, who is competing on the veterans' tennis circuit and has also launched his Phlip Apparel fashion label, has been engaged twice before to US actress Jennifer Esposito in October 2009, and Miami heiress Alexis Barbara in 2006.
