Premier League champions Manchester United were left with a 1-1 draw with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in their Champions League Group A clash on Wednesday at Ukraine.
Although United player Danny Welbeck took the lead for his club in the first 18 minutes with his opening goal, captain Nemanja Vidic's 76th-minute blunder gifted Shakhtar an equalizer and saw United throw away a morale-boosting win.
According to the Mirror, Brazilian star Taison cancelled out Welbeck's opener with his own goal in the 76th minute, helping Shakhtar to dominate in the second half.
The report mentioned that the Welbeck's goal was his sixth in the season for all competitions, while United veteran Ryan Giggs made his appearance in the 66th minute to set a new record for the number of Champions League appearances - including qualifiers - with the midfielder playing for the 145th time in the competition.
